Sayyid Sameer Ali

Sayyid Sameer Ali currently serves as the Director of Islamic Pastoral Care at I.M.A.M. He works closely with Luminaries, a youth collective focused on empowerment and development in the Shia community. He has served as a board-certified chaplain for over a decade, including six years as a university chaplain serving Muslim students. Sayyid Sameer is passionate about the intersection of traditional scholarship, chaplaincy, and counseling. He studied for six years in the traditional hawza and holds an MA in Religious Studies (Stanford University) and an MA in Counseling (CACREP). As a faith-based counselor serving Muslims across North America, he provides support to young Muslims through counseling, workshops, and educational initiatives.
